Hrmm. I'll have to post a photo of the second Seven in the garage... the 4G63-powered one.
Ok, I'll be honest; it's not finished, but there's a 4G63, a Supra rear end, and a welded chassis hanging from the ceiling. It was going to be my buddy's Locost, but I seem to have inherited. I did the all the welding anyway....

Wait, how have I not heard of you doing this? That's incredible.

There are a few pictures of it being worked on in the background on my build log. I really haven't had time for it, that and I'm hesitant on spending a lot of time on someone else's project with no set boundaries, i.e. at what point does my work and effort make it mine, or what's my financial gain on a completed car, etc.
Having a family really hurts your car time....

That's the frame with the subframe sitting on the build table, about three years ago, when I was working on my turbo manifold.
And there's a pic of mine being put away for the winter last year, under the other one. The engine isn't in that pic... the Supra tranny and bell housing adaptor are at his house still.
Someday.
I'm much more interested in making a 3/4 scale Lotus for my daughter, and building a LMP1/2 than more Locosts.
Don't get me wrong. If anyone is interested, and has the means, I'm more than happy to help build one. I wish more people would take the offer up.

What do you mean by "has the means"?

Has the financial means. Too many people try projects knowing perfectly well that they don't have the money to complete it. There's no point starting if you know you won't finish. It's the kind of thing you need to sit down and figure out how much it's going to cost, and know when/if you have the money to do it.
Having said that, it's cheap. People have done it for under 2500 from start to finish. Common? Not really, but under 5k is more than possible. And, you don't need it all at once. It costs about 200-250 to get the supplies to make the frame, which will keep you busy for a while... the donor car is usually the most expensive part, unless you already have a donor, at which point you have half of the cost taken care of already.

You lost me here. But if I ever come across a nice Starion roller, expect me to politely ask if you could build me a 4G63 RWD transmission adapter. :)

What do you mean you lost me there? About 200 worth of 1" tubing and steel plate (for the floor, although I think I'd rather Dzus an aluminum plate on for lightness—that'd be more expensive, though) is enough to get the main chassis completed.
